Can We Please Stop Labeling Drake And Others As Soft? Please..?!

I am pretty tired of all the hate Drake gets. If he were rapping about hoes and bitches and the ice on his neck, he would be the greatest thing to ever happen to music since The Beatles, or something as equally nonsensical. But because he actually talks about things other than this, because *gasp* he is a man and shows he actually has more feelings for women than just those focused on demeaning them, his musical talent is somehow diminished? Why can’t he just be himself? Why can’t people help credit him for helping rap music grow and become more aware. Nas is a poet above anything else, and he is brilliant for it. So why can’t Drake be a poet too, instead of being labeled a chump? And if you think of it, the emotional and intellectual depth of Drake’s lyrics can only come from someone with a very heightened level of consciousness. Why does no one speak on this? Drake is in touch with another level of life and being. Just sit back, relax and enjoy it. You might learn something instead of just hating straight off the bat.

And men, I’m going to let you in on a little secret, women actually like it when you understand them and take the time out to do so! Anything that leads to the opposite, where one shows they are not taking the time for such things, is always the biggest turn off. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Case in point: ‘Take Care’. This song was written for ME. The lyrics hit home. And you know what, I bet there’s a million other people who feel the same way, both female and male. And while we’re here, Rihanna gets a lot of heat also but she really shows her talent in this song, above all the others.
