Nas gives one of the most honest and open interviews I’ve seen from him to Complex Magazine. Maybe he felt more comfortable with them because he graced their first cover way back when. Regardless, what comes across is a real human being. A man concerned about life, love, a man who still respects his ex-wife, singer Kelis, and a man who consciously tries to be a better father every day. You cannot seperate Nas from these things, he doesn’t stand apart from anything that’s happened in his life. He has soaked them all up like a sponge, maintained them in his system and still, no matter what he has been through, he has the courage to create for himself and see a life that is “Good”. And as much as I love ‘The Don’ his new single, “Daughters” is why I really love Nas. That intelligence, that uncanny approach to everything you fear and are insecure or angry of, and dragging it out in public is so inspiring.
Tell me again why there isn’t a single woman not in love with him?
